I feel it today. There were two challenging exercises at the gym yesterday. Wide-armed pull-ups and chest dips. Biceps and triceps yes, but shoulders, chest, back and core too. I can feel it. Sore, but stronger.
I had an emotional workout yesterday as well. I pulled towards hope and strained with disappointment. I pushed back in conflict and hung on with perseverance. I can feel it today. If life isn’t getting any easier, I want to get stronger.
Do emotional muscles get sore, and stronger, after a workout? Empathy. Anticipation. Trust. Can I live with good form even in anger or sadness? Which emotional muscles do I need to exercise, even if I do feel a little sore?
